Wet Weather Safety
Students are to bring/wear rain jackets to school, NOT umbrellas. Umbrellas are not safe for school. Students do not have permission to use umbrellas. They need to hold the handrail on steps, umbrellas can hurt people, students must be able to see other students and hazards, there's nowhere to store umbrellas.
Students and teachers need quick, safe and frequent access to all stair cases. In order to minimise risk and slip issues, parents are asked to avoid using the stairs at all times.
Road Safety
Slow down in the rain - don't run - roads and pathways can be slippery.
Always hold an adults hand (Kindergarten to Year 4) when around and crossing roads.
Make sure you NEVER get out of the car on the road side, always get out on the pedestrian path side, especially in the wet and even if it is muddy/dirty.
