The Sun Smiles free Oral Health Prevention Program will take place at Homebush West on Tuesday 19th of March (Week 8) and Tuesday 26th of March (Week 9). The program includes three key components:
· Education to promote oral health through the use of puppets.
· Dental screening and fluoride varnish.
· Dental referral pathways.
Every student who has the dental screening will receive a Sun Smiles bag containing a free toothbrush and toothpaste. The Care Bear Mascot will also be visiting and providing a healthy yogurt cup to all students who are taking part in the program.
Parents of all Kindergarten students and any new students will need to sign the consent form for your child to take part. If you signed the consent for your child last year they may participate again with that consent. This is a free program for all students.
