We are proud of our shared commitment to ensure every student reaches their potential through rich and authentic learning experiences, every day. Last week the SRC led a successful “Adopt-a-Farmer’ fundraiser to support our drought stricken farmers. Our students demonstrated citizenship and a commitment to the greater good. We would like to thank our community for supporting this event and for their generous donations, almost $700 was raised. Our Moving Bodies Program got off to a great start and we welcomed our fabulous Drama specialists back to school who commenced their program with our Stage 1 and Early Stage 1 students.
The annual Homebush West Public School Cross Country was held at Airey Park Oval last week, with students from 8 - 13yrs attending. The Cross Country challenge involves students running for 2km. This is a really physical event and we congratulate the spirit and effort that students put into ensuring that they complete the course and that they encourage each other. Thank you to the students, the parent helpers and the Stage 2 and Stage 3 teachers for making the day a success. Students who are attending Zone Cross Country will receive notification in the coming week.
