Symphonia Jubilate Dubbo Tour

Five students from Homebush West Public School participated in the Symphonia Jubilate Central West Tour from Monday 8 to Thursday 11 April 2019, involving 39 students from 8 primary and 9 high schools. The students were accompanied by Miss Zuccali and Mr Debnam as well as other staff from participating schools. Symphonia Jubilate students collaborated in orchestral workshops and gave concert performances with students from public schools in Orange, Dubbo and Warren. The tour culminated with a public performance for the residents of Warren who have been enduring a prolonged drought. Apart from meeting and making music with students from regional areas, Symphonia Jubilate members also had wonderful learning experiences that included an aboriginal performance and smoking ceremony in Warren, a sheep shearing demonstration, and a visit to the Education Centre at Western Plains Zoo in Dubbo. The tour was a resounding success and it was heartening to see so many past Homebush West Public School students, who are now in high school, involved in the tour.
