Welcome everyone to Term 2 at Homebush West PS. It is wonderful to see all of our students return to school looking healthy and energised, ready for another dynamic term of learning, improvement and fun. We concluded Term 1 with deep parent/teacher conversations around student goals, and we held our Fancy Hat Parade which was a great celebration of creativity and collaboration. The abundance of colour, smiling faces and 100% participation was encouraging to see. Our whole school community demonstrated inclusion, respect and teamwork, all values embedded in our school culture. We are grateful that so many of you joined us to celebrate in this event, we hope you enjoy the photos in this newsletter.
This week we commemorate ANZAC Day, our Year 6 leaders commence their Peer Support training and we anticipate safety skills and swimming fun for Stage 1 and some Stage 2 students in the pool on Friday. We look forward to sharing the ongoing achievements and success of our students across the coming weeks.
