Reconciliation Week

Our School Leaders recently had the privilege to participate in 2019 Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Servicemen and Servicewomen Commemoration Ceremony at the Pool of Reflection, Anzac Memorial Hyde Park. This commemorated the service and sacrifice of Indigenous veterans who have fought for Australia in every major conflict since the Frontier Wars, this recognition was a component of National Reconciliation Week. We are very proud of our School Leaders who represented Homebush West Public School so respectfully, laying a wreath to honour those fallen Indigenous soldiers. We thank Mr Fung and Mrs Prouty who accompanied our leaders and represented our school.
