Parents engaging with music tutors through HWPS are asked to ensure the following guidelines regarding payment to tutors;
· Tutors should be paid in advance for the whole term, usually 9-10 weeks.
· Tutors are not to be paid 'week by week'.
· Tutors will issue an invoice for the payment.
· Parents are to ensure that they pay promptly.
Tutors will try to reschedule a lesson for a students who cannot attend a lesson, if they are given 24hours notice, however, parents are required to pay for lessons that they have booked, whether the child attends or not.
Please note
Music tutors are their own employer. They depend on the income that is agreed upon, when we commit to lessons, as they have committed their time to us, instead of someone else. It is critical that we respect their time and commitment and manage payments effectively and efficiently. Please see the tutor ASAP if you are experiencing difficulties with payments. Tutors have been asked to refer payment issues to the school.
