This week Homebush West Public had two students compete in the Regional Finals of the Multicultural Public Speaking Competition. The Regional Finals were hosted via Zoom at the school. Congratulations to Karambir S from Stage 2 and Adhrit M from Stage 3 for representing our school so successfully. Both Karambir and Adhrit placed first in the Regional finals and will proceed to the State Finals in late November.
The students were required to present a prepared speech and then produce an impromptu speech with 5 minutes preparation time. The students prepared speeches title Racism - No way! and the impromptu topics were 'Scary Things' and 'It's weird'. Both students competed commendably and were complimented by the judges for their highly organised and sophisticated speeches. Congratulations to both students.
