NAIDOC Week 2020

NAIDOC Week celebrations are held across Australia each July to celebrate the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. This year we are celebrating in November. NAIDOC is celebrated not only in Indigenous communities, but by Australians from all walks of life. NAIDOC Week is a great opportunity to participate in a range of activities and to support your local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community. On Tuesday 10th November, we will be hosting a virtual assembly to commemorate NAIDOC Week and introduce learning opportunities that reflect the 2020 NAIDOC Week theme, ‘Always Was, Always Will Be’. Like so many of our programs and events, this year’s celebrations will look a little different. Covid restrictions mean that parents and carers will not be able to join us for the commemoration. However, a pre-recorded presentation will be available for you to view on our HWPS Weebly; See link https://homebushwestps.weebly.com/
