White Ribbon Day

On Friday 20th November 2020, Homebush West Public School will be recognizing White Ribbon Day with a special school assembly.

The White Ribbon Day movement works through a primary prevention approach in communities, schools and workplaces across the country to engage men to become active in the social change needed to stop men’s violence against women and children. White Ribbon Day seeks to eliminate gendered violence, promote gender equality and create new opportunities for men and boys to build positive, healthy and respectful relationships.

At Homebush West Public, White Ribbon Day is an opportunity to collectively raise awareness and commit to actions to preventive actions. We are asking our students, teachers and families to stand up, speak out and act to end gendered violence.

To show support we request that all students wear a white shirt to school on the day. Unfortunately, due to Covid restrictions, parents and careers will not be able to join us.
