To all of our wonderful HWPS Learning Community
It is how we respond in times of great challenge that makes the greatest impact, and how we respond now will impact us personally, our wider local and global community. As always the HWPS community has responded with kindness, compassion, encouragement and support of each other and the school. You are truly a wonderful community.
Students, Parents and Carers
As we launch our "HWPS Learning from Home Hub" we'd like you to be mindful of a few things;
- Students you matter to us, and we're looking out to connect with you, and support your learning and well-being, every single school day.
- During the hours of 9am to 3pm you'll need to sign in, sign on and action your learning timetable.
- Your teachers have created some fantastic content, to ensure you continue to have a fabulous education.
- As always fitness, mindfulness, creativity and safety strategies are as important as every other aspect of the learning. Don't skip these.
- We can help, if you need resources or support use the portal and get in touch.
- You are HWPS "STARS" wherever you are learning, at home or elsewhere.
During this period of change we're keen to see and hear how you are being HWPS STARS at home.

Resilience
Each of you has the personal resources, learner traits and characteristics to make the most of the changes we're dealing with. This will be okay and you will be okay. Be resilient, be patient and positive, persevere and be kind to yourselves and those around. Our current challenges will pass and we will, in the future, be physically together again, but for now, we look forward to seeing all that you can do and achieve as you 'Learning from Home'. Remember why we are 'staying home' and ensure you continue to practice safety strategies at home.

Child Protection
- Ensure you implement virtual learning safety strategies with your child, see stage resources
- Students screens should always be visible to an adult
- See the stage resources and read them carefully
Parents and Carers
As we continue to try to "Stay Apart - Together" be aware;
1. Schools are open for students who need to be here.
2. We are operating a skeleton staff at school as students are encouraged to learn from home wherever possible.
3. Whether learning from at home, or on-site we will learn the same things, stay connected and prioritise well-being first.
4. You can contact us through all the usual channels, including the office. We're here to support you.
5. You are not alone. If you feel vulnerable or need some support or care, please reach out. We're here for you.
Teachers and Staff
You have all embodied collaboration, innovation, resilience and excellence throughout this rapidly changing, challenging time. Thank you for your commitment to our students and school community. You are brilliant.
Stay safe and well.
